If the console takes batteries, replace them. If this does not work or
your console does not require batteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor.

Reed Switch:
Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover.
The reed switch is mounted on the frame next to the front roller pulley.
There is a magnet glued into the front roller pulley. When adjusting
the reed switch, make sure it is pointing directly at the magnet. Move
the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of the magnet. Also, check to
see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected to the console.

Optic Sensor:
Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover.
The optic disk and sensor are located either at the end of the motor
or the right hand side of the front roller. The optic disk spins between
two sensors on the optic switch. The disk must spin freely without touching
either sensor. The sensors can be moved by loosening the adjustment
bolt holding the switch to its bracket. The switch can then be slid.
Center the disk.

If the belt starts again when you step off, check the tension between
the walking belt and board. The belt should lift 3-4". If the tension
is fine, let the machine run by itself for a few minutes longer than
your last workout or the last time the belt stopped. If the belt maintains
its speed, the walking belt may be worn or lacking lubrication. Check
your owner's manual or call the customer service hotline to find the
lubrication appropriate for your machine. If the belt does not maintain
its speed, call the customer service hotline.

Treadmills have two different styles of walking belt adjustment. To
see which type you have, look at the right hand side of the rear roller.
If the bolt has an Allen wrench head, you have the two-adjustment bolt
style. If the bolt is a hex head, you have the one-adjustment bolt style.

If the walking belt has shifted to the left, first remove the safety
key and unplug the power cord. Using the Allen wrench, turn the left
rear roller adjustment bolt clockwise, and the right bolt counter-clockwise,
1/4 of a turn each. Be careful not to over tighten the walking belt.
Plug in the power cord, insert the safety key and run the treadmill
for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is centered.

One-adjustment bolt:
The tension can be adjusted by turning the right rear tension bolt.
In order to adjust the bolt, you must hold the tension nut on the end
of this bolt and put a second wrench on the bolt head. To tighten the
walking belt, turn the bolt clockwise. To loosen the walking belt, turn
the bolt counter-clockwise. When the walking belt is correctly tightened,
you should be able to lift each side of the belt 3 - 4" off the walking
platform. Plug in the power cord, insert the safety key, and run the
treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is at the proper
tension.

To calibrate the speed and/or incline, please refer to the instructions that are under the motor
hood cover or are mounted on the inside of the belly pan. Be sure to unplug your machine. If
the instructions are not there, please contact our customer service department at 1-888-533-1333
while you are near your machine.

1) Make sure the heart rate monitor is under your clothing, against
your skin, and as high under the pectoral muscles as is comfortable.
Note: If the heart rate monitor does not function when positioned as
described, try moving it slightly lower or higher on your chest.
2) Make sure the logo on the sensor is facing forward and is right
side up.
3) Use saline solution (saliva or contact lens solution) to wet the
two electrode areas on the sensor unit. If the heart rate readings do
not appear until you begin perspiring, re-wet the electrode areas.
4) As you walk or run on the treadmill, position yourself near the
center of the walking belt. For the console to display heart rate readings
5) The heart rate monitor is designed to work with people who have
normal heart rhythms. Heart rate detection problems may be caused by
medical conditions such as premature ventricular contractions (pvcs),
tachycardia bursts, and arrhythmia.
6) The operation of the heart rate monitor can be affected by magnetic
interference caused by high power lines or other sources. If you suspect
that magnetic interference may be causing a problem, try relocating
the treadmill.
7) If the heart rate monitor still does not function properly, test
it by having another person try it.

Hand Grip Pulse Sensor / EKG:
1) Clean the metal contacts with a damp cloth.
2) Make sure the palm of your hand is wrapping around both the top
and bottom plates of the pulse sensor. Just the thumb wrapping around
the bottom is not sufficient.
3) Before taking your pulse, stop walking and step onto the side rails.
Holding still will bring the best pulse reading.
4) If no pulse at all appears on the console for a great length of
time, the console software may be locked up and need to be reset. To
reset the console:
a) Stop the machine and unplug from the wall, leaving the safety key
in.
b) Wait at least 30 seconds.
c) Plug the power cord back in, PO should appear on the console.
d) Remove the safety key momentarily to clear the PO, then reinsert
the key.
e) Check the function of the hand pulse. If the pulse is still not
registering, repeat this procedure.

When in Demo Mode, the console will go through a repeating lighting pattern. This mode will
only become active when the treadmill is plugged in, the main on/off switch is turned on, and
the safety key is not inserted into the console.
The Demo Mode was added to attract attention to the treadmill while it is on display. By
default, all treadmills with Demo Mode will come with it turned on. Demo Mode can be turned
off at any time.
Method #1 to switch from the Demo Mode:
- Press and hold the STOP button while inserting the safety key to enter the user information mode.
- Look in the Calories window. When Demo Mode is active, the letter 'd' will appear.
- Press the SPEED DOWN button to toggle the mode on and off.
- Once the mode is set as desired, remove the safety key.

If your machine has a maintenance free belt, there are only a couple of things that we
recommend. First, routinely check the tension on your walking belt. We recommend that you be
able to lift your belt 3-4 inches from the platform at the outer edges. Second, we also suggest
checking the nuts and bolts to make sure that everything stays tight.

Your treadmill features a maintenance-free walking belt coated with Performant Lube, a high-performance lubricant.
During the first few hours of use, it is normal for a small amount of white powder to appear on
the foot rails, walking platform and possibly the floor. The white powder is high-performance
lubricant from the walking belt.
Do not apply silicone spray or other substances to the belt or walking platform.

repairs for which warranty claims are made must be preauthorized by ICON. If the product is shipped to a service center, freight charges to and from the service center will be the customer's responsibility. For
